What is Montana Select Basketball?

Montana Select Basketball is a group of travel teams that range from 14U to 17U. Teams are made up of players that will have at least one year of high school eligibility remaining for the 2017-2018 high school season and reside in Montana or a state that borders Montana (North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming and Idaho).

A list of players that made a summer roster is available by clicking here. More detailed rosters will be out soon.

Tres Tinkle and Jared Samuelson both played for Select Basketball in 2014. Tinkle signed at Oregon State and Samuelson signed at Montana.

These teams will practice, travel and compete very similar to a college program. Teams are made up of 8 players that will compete during the summer of 2017 at three of the top NCAA certified events in July with the goals of becoming better players and increasing their recruiting opportunities.

About the Montana Select Basketball program

Montana Select Basketball is an extension of Idaho Select Basketball. The coaching, operations, logistics and philosophies are the same. Idaho Select began in 1998 in Boise, Idaho and has grown significantly over the past 15+ years. During that time, several of the best players in Montana have competed with Idaho Select teams, earning valuable experience and college scholarships. Click here to see some of our alumni.

As the talent in Montana has grown, so has the need for an additional well established program. Montana Select Basketball will form its teams through a tryout and based on coaches’ observations.

Montana Select, like Idaho Select, takes great pride in being organized and competing at the highest level. The well being and safety of our players is our top priority.
